I am doing a review today on The Red Goat Coffee. This is a one-pound package of coffee. First of all, I love the bright red packaging. It really catches your eye. This is coffee to the extreme. On the label, it states Extreme Caffeine. I believe it too. One cup of this coffee has six times the amount of caffeine as a regular cup of coffee. This will for sure keep you awake if that is what you are looking for. It tastes very smooth too. The coffee beans are oven-roasted and grounded. I do wish the packaging had a ziplock closure on it though. That would keep it fresh longer and keep it from dropping out if you accidentally tip the package over. The packaging has a very large picture of a goat on it. It has a very strong smell also. I could smell the coffee before I even opened the package. My whole house smells like it now. That let me know that it was going to have a very very strong flavor. The brand of this coffee is ABC Cork Co. It is rated the highest caffeinated coffee in the world with 17,000 UG/G Caffeine. You will have to try it yourself to believe it. I highly recommend this highly caffeinated coffee. It will change your life for sure.

Very strong coffee and smooth

Prior to owing and trying this coffee, I had never heard of The Red Goat Coffee, Original Strong Ground Coffee. I have made several pots. The coffee is strong but not bitter. I had to adjust the amount of grounds that I use for the pot. I think once I found the sweet spot, it was a good cup of coffee. I would recommend watching the intake of this coffee since it does have more caffeine than a traditional coffee. I would recommend this for the avid coffee drinker to try it out. A casual drinker may not appreciate the blend. 989999

Strong Coffee!

This is about the best coffee that I have had in a long time. Yummy.
I absolutely love the flavor of this. So strong and bold. So good.
The bag is a bigger size, which I love. That means that it will last longer.

This coffee has a dark, rich color and a rich smell that's reminiscent of a good Colombian coffee. It is strong but not bitter. It looks and smells decadently. It's hard to describe. It's definitely strong without being bitter. It has a nice, fresh aroma and taste.

Pleasantly strong coffee!

I love a good, strong coffee and this Red Goat coffee hit the spot! It's very flavorful and has a good bold flavor like dark coffee should. They were also very generous with this 1lb bag of coffee. I think this is gonna last me for a while! It does have added caffeine, which gives me that extra boost I need every morning. If you're a coffee lover and love a great tasting coffee, I highly recommend Red Goat!

Good Coffee!

This coffee is great and a must buy....no bitter aftertaste. I've tried it alone and mixed with other coffee, in a traditional and a keurig. This coffee is strong but not overpowering, definitely a great pick me up. Would recommend to any coffee lover.

Great Coffee

Okay friend, I heard you like a coffee. But have you tried red goat coffee? I didn't think so, but let me tell you, the time has come. This coffee is unlike anything I've tried before. Dare I say, the GOAT. It has a strong deep earthy flavor and I'm not sure how they did it but it packs a punch that has made a noticeable difference over the last several mornings that it has graced my travel mug on the way to work. The attractive red bag contains a finally ground roast which I will most certainly be replenishing. The best words to describe it are both strong and smooth. You won't need any extra flavoring to enjoy a hot cup of this brew. Don't be a sheep, try the goat.

Wow. This coffee.

The coffee has a strong flavor! Rather bitter and definitely caffeinated. Personally I prefer a more mellow brew but there are always times when a good caffeine jolt is required. I would recommend this coffee for those times. Seems fresh and finely ground. Maybe even a bit like espresso.

Good Strong Coffee

The Red Goat Original Coffee is sold as having a smooth flavor with a kick. The packaging itself doesn't lend an explicit explanation as to how much of a kick this is. Red Goat states, “Red Goat Coffee is proven to be the highest-caffeinated coffee in the world and provides 6 times the amount of caffeine as an average cup of coffee. Our extra caffeine coffee has been tried and tested at Maxxaam Laboratories. These strong coffee beans will last longer since one cup will keep you alert for hours!”

I prefer Maxwell House over Folders as my go to source for caffeine. I'm particularly fond of Breakfast Blend, French Roast, and sometimes Columbian. In recent years, I've managed to stop making such strong pots of coffee for the sake of my taste preferences. I have in the past, however, was on a paint stripping strength of coffee kick, so I'm accustomed to enjoying all strengths of coffee, taste-wise.

When opening the Red Goat bag, I wasn't hit with that wonderful smell of a freshly vacuumed sealed container full of coffee beans. It was very slight. Given that this is a smooth tasting coffee, I dismissed that expectation of sensation and chalked it up to the smoothness of taste. The grounds are not finely ground, but are more finely ground than your typical ground coffee. I use a screen filter for brewing and did not notice any grounds in the coffee pot bottom. Refer to my attached picture for comparison of typical ground roast to Red Goat.

This flavor of coffee, to me, is like that of a weak tea, although the strength of the brew looks like a typical strength brew, brown in color, no depth of coffee into the brew when viewed top down, and only a hint of light passing through it when viewed in a glass mug. The excess caffeine in this blend has been tempered down by the brewers. Unfortunately, the overall taste is too slight for my liking. Because of the caffeine content, I wouldn't want to try a stronger brewing process for fear of my heart exploding through my chest. The amount of grounds I used in my taste test was exactly the same as I've been brewing with my regular coffee.

If you prefer a mellow tasting coffee and need a big kick of caffeine, then if suggest trying this brand.

A Mild Tasting Jumpstart in Your Cup

My husband is the coffee drinker and he said this Red Goat coffee was rather weak. He did say it wasn't bitter at all, so I guess that's good. He normally drinks French Roast which has a bolder flavor. He thinks he may have felt a bit of a caffeine boost without any jitteriness. I guess if you like your coffee mild with a kick, this is for you, but if you like a bolder, more flavorful coffee, you may want to pass on this.

Kind of Weak

I will not be getting The Red Goat Coffee, Original Strong Ground Coffee, 1lb. again and I actually ended up throwing the rest of the bag away because no one likes it. First there is no way to reseal the bag so once I opened it I had to put it in my own resealable container. Next, when I make my usual coffee I use one heaping scoop so that is what I used for this since there is nothing on the label on how much to use. The coffee was so mild and bland it might as well have been water. So I tried another pot with 3 times what I usually use and it still came out extremely mild. I did not notice any difference in the caffeine content so I don't even know if this is stronger in caffeine like it says it is. I am not going to use half of the bag to make one pot of coffee to possibly find out. I just won't be getting this again.
